ReadingWritingRithmetic has its roots in Kristalhelder Proeflezer an online editing, localisation, and writing service. For eight years, as Kristalhelder Proeflezer, I edited and proofread English language texts written by academics and students who have English as a second language. After careful reflection, I decided to establish ReadingWritingRithmetic to focus on providing spoken academic English training to law lecturers and law students (undergraduate, masters, and doctoral level) only. I concluded that the authors of the scholarly articles wrote academic English the way they spoke it. I use conversation and dialogue during the academic English training to speed up learning. In addition, I use immersion activities to further develop the language skills of the lecturers and students.

The need for constant practice applies to the study of every foreign language and the language training service provides the opportunity to constantly practice speaking English. In addition, one must be prepared that a native speaker of the language will correct you which I do and will do. I am a specialist academic English language trainer with expertise in English for law and a lawyer (non-practising).
